I often say that people’s collective bad karma has led to climate change. Everything undergoes formation, continuation, decay, and annihilation. See how the Earth is being continuously damaged by us humans. In the era of degenerate Dharma, we’re approaching the end of the world. People have long been damaging the Earth in various ways. Exactly how long will the earth last? Will it be destroyed? Yes, because it’s also a planet in the universe.
The earth is very special as it has not only mountains and minerals but also water. With water comes life. Living on the Earth, we humans have been making discoveries and pursuing progress, which brings about damage and destruction. As we constantly pursue extreme development in technology, the earth will be destroyed.
Although we don’t know when this will happen, it’ll happen eventually. When we’re born, the first thing we come into contact with is air, which brings us pain. We’re bare at birth, so, when the air runs over our uncovered skin, we feel a great pain. Then, we’re held in hands rougher than our skin and wrapped in a towel before being washed and wiped in warm water.
How can we not cry? The moment we’re born, we come in contact with the air. Like a “wind knife,” the air irritates our skin, so we cry. This is hoe life is filled with much suffering.
See how many disasters there are around the world. Wars have displaced many people. Where can they go? Once a war occurs in two neighboring countries, a distinct boundary will be established. Despite the closeness and affection between some of their people, they may be separated. Even if they can see each other at the border, it’s impossible for them to hold hands. They get separated suddenly due to hostility between the two countries.
Originally, the two countries were close to each other, and their people could easily cross the border and have a loving embrace. Yet, due to the war, love and friendship have given way to hostility, and those who could hold hands and embrace have been separated cruelly. All this is happening in the world.
Those separated are worried about each other. So lng as the war is ongoing, no one knows what will happen tomorrow. Will people there still be safe and well the next moment? Their lives are at stake. Indeed, peace is a true blessing in life. Only when there is no conflict or war will the world be peaceful.
At this time, we should spread the Dharma widely to bring about peace in the world. Regardless of religion, we should strive to practice good deeds that can benefit the world and pave a broad and smooth path of goodness for all to walk upon. This is how we sow blessings for the world.
When we use our body to do good, we’re paying our parents. We should pass on generation after generation. A family doing good is blessed. So, we should pass on goodness in our family generation after generation. This is how we repay our parents. Apart from fulfilling our responsibilities as humans, we should also repay Mother Nature.
I’ve been speaking about this over the past few days. We can’t survive without air. Without air, we won’t be able to breathe and will suffocate to death. The absence of air leads to deadly suffocation.
In all, we must be grateful to air, water, and earth. As air is very important, we must value it highly and not pollute it. We must be very grateful that there is much fresh air. We must always harbor gratitude within and repay our parents and Nature’s elements of earth, water, fire, and air. We should be very grateful to them all.
Everyone, as long as you harbor gratitude within, you’ll be a good person, for you’ll give back by doing good deeds at all times. In the same way, as long as a religion teaches correct views, its scriptures point out the right path in life. We’ve been walking the path guided by the true principles from scriptures.
