The Noble Path is Bright as the Day

無漏聖道朗然如日
發願已 皈命禮諸佛

The Noble Path is bright as the day. I vow to take refuge and pay respect to all Buddhas.

我們在《靜思晨語。法譬如水。轉知識為智慧》說過,平時我們要以很虔誠的心,向「無煩惱的、智慧的聖道」往前走,自然我們的境界會朗然如日,我們的人生就不是在夢中了,能夠活得清清楚楚,不被無明遮蓋。

We have talked about how we must maintain reverence in our hearts.

人生如夢如幻,到底人生什麼是真?什麼是假?最重要的要認清楚——「假中有真、真中有假」。只要我們能夠清楚認識,人人雖然在生活中,難免無常變遷,但就是有永恆不動清淨佛性——,這我們應該要很了解。所以才說「聖道朗然如日」,聖道還是那麼光明。

Life is like a dream, an illusion. What is actually real? What is unreal? The most important thing is to recognize the truth in the illusion and the illusion in reality. We must clearly recognize this. Even though changes in life are unavoidable, our pure Buddha nature is eternal and unmoving. We must thoroughly understand this. So "the Noble Path is bright as the day". The Noble Path is always so bright.

虔誠信敬諸佛菩薩
聖眾正法諦理無偏
以佛心待人人即佛
以虔誠心對人事物
人事物理何患不圓

Sincerely believe in and respect all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. The sages' Right Dharma is true and accurate. Treat others with Buddha-mind and they are Buddhas. Treat people and matters with sincerity, and there is no fear of disharmony.

聖道在哪裡,就是在我們人人的本性中,所以原來都是那麼明朗清淨,只是我們凡夫好像似在做夢,或者是陰霾使我們,看不到前面的境界,所以我們了解了,了解之後,我們要發出更又再虔誠的心,所以我們要「虔誠信敬諸佛菩薩」。

Where is it? It is in our intrinsic nature. We were originally bright and pure, but as ordinary people, we seem to be dreaming. It seems that a haze is obscuring the world in front of us. After we understand this, we must be "sincere believe in, respect all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas".

諸佛菩薩來人間,無不都是要為我們指出一條正確道路,幫助我們如何撥開了我們的無明;所以我們現在既然知道了,我們要「虔誠信敬諸佛菩薩」。

They all came to the world for our sake, to point us to the right path and help us learn to break through our ignorance. So now that we know, we must "sincerely believe in, respect all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas".

「聖眾正法諦理無偏」,凡是諸佛菩薩所有聖眾的正法,道理絕對是真的,絕對是沒有偏差。人生道路最怕的就是,「差毫釐失於千里」。既然聖道是正法的諦理,向我們保證絕對是沒有偏差;這沒有偏差的道理,我們要去哪裡找呢?我們要以佛心,我們要常常顧好我們的心。

"The sages' Right Dharma is true and accurate." The Right Dharma of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and sages is absolutely true, with no inaccuracies. On the road of life, our greatest fear is that "a small deviation will take us far off course". Since the Noble Path is the truth of Right Dharma, it is guaranteed to not deviate. How do we find sound reasoning? We need to realize the Buddha-mind and always take good care of our minds.

我們既然要接近佛,其實佛的心在我們的本性中,所以我們要自己時時提起了正念。「以佛心待人人即佛」,這樣最接近佛,也是體認我們本性之佛。

Since we want to be close to the Buddha, we must always elicit the Buddha-mind of our intrinsic nature. "Use Buddha-mind to treat everyone as a Buddha." This bring us closest to the Buddha.

也是能夠相信人人有佛性,我們也是最接近佛,所以「以最虔誠的心對人事物」,自然「人事物理何患不圓」?本來人圓、事圓、道理就圓,我們就能夠在這個大圓境界、這世間萬物朗然明朗。

Then we recognize our intrinsic Buddha-nature and believe that everyone has the same Buddha-nature. This bring us closest to the Buddha. So "if we face people and matters with sincerity there is no fear of disharmony". If our relationship and conduct are harmonious, we are in harmony with the principles. Then we can live in a harmonious world and everything will be clear and bright.

只是我們的這個心靈,這個大圓的鏡智都被無明遮蔽。這些無明都不離人、事、物理,所以我們若要讓,我們的大圓鏡智現前,那就是要從做人開始,做人要圓,做事才會圓。

But our mind, our Great Mirror-wisdom, is obscured by ignorance. We are ignorant about people, matters and objects. So if we want to manifest our Great Mirror-wisdom, we need to perfect our character, then we can handle things perfectly.

什麼是「人圓、事圓、理圓?」那意思就是說待人要很清楚,以道理來對待人,就是人圓;做事不離開道理,自然一切的事物理,我們都能夠很清楚,沒有偏差,這樣就是事圓;這些道理我們若能夠了解,那也就是理圓。

This is perfect character, conduct, and principles. So we have to be clear on how we treat others. If we do things and treat others according to the principles, then we can clearly understand everything. We will not stray.

我們平常時都認為佛理很深,其實沒有離開我們的日常生活。以佛心待人,人即是佛,以虔誠心對人事物,則人事物理何患不圓呢?怎會不圓呢?所以我們人生要追求的,就是追求一個圓滿的道理,所以大家要用心。

We typically think that the Buddha's truths are very profound, but if we understand this, we know they are inseparable from our daily living. Treat others with the Buddha-mind, and they will be Buddhas. If we treat people and matters sincerely, then we have no fear of disharmony. How could there be disharmony? So in life, our ultimate goal is to realize the complete truth. Therefore, we must be mindful.

前面我們說過去的,就是障煩惱,有很多事情,我們全都是因為煩惱障礙。所以我們既然知道都是因為「自障」,障了一切的善法,我們知道了,就應該要運用佛陀的教法,以法水來洗滌我們的心,把我們心的污垢、障礙去除。

Earlier we talked about the obstacles of afflictions. Many things happen because afflictions obstruct us. Since we know that we obstruct ourselves and block all Good Dharma, we know we need to use the Buddha's teachings as Dharma-water to cleanse our minds.

我們完全把它去除之後,我們就是「歸命禮諸佛」。我們還要再發願,發願我們要更接近佛,要禮敬諸佛。.

We must completely eliminate the defilements and obstacles in our minds. We must "Take refuge and pay respect to Buddhas". We must also vow to bring ourselves closer to the Buddha, and pay respect to all Buddhas.

禮諸佛已
次復懺悔

After paying respect to Buddhas, we then repent again.

所以你們每天早上的早課,就是每天都在提醒自己,我們要虔誠禮敬諸佛。所以說:「禮諸佛已,次復懺悔。」

So during the morning practice every day, we must remind ourselves to sincerely pay our respects to all Buddhas. "After paying respect to Buddhas, we then repent again."

每天在禮佛,每天在聽經,知道很多的煩惱都是自己的障礙,這樣已經是否都清淨了呢?

Every day we pay respect to the Buddha. Every day we listen to the teachings. We know that many afflictions are our obstacles. Have we purified ourselves?

諸位,若聽法還是聽法,每天度日還是猶然故我,還是一樣沒有改變,那煩惱到底完全懺除了嗎?

Everyone, if we just listen to the Dharma but live every day as our old selves, have we completely repented and eliminated our afflictions?

弟子眾等略懺煩惱障竟
今當次第懺悔業障

We disciples have briefly repented the Obstruction of Afflictions. Now we repent the Obstructions of Karma in order.

那我們現在再又再來看下面的文字:「弟子眾等略懺煩惱障竟,今當次第懺悔業障。」

Let us know look at the following text. "We disciples have briefly repented the Obstruction of Afflictions. Now we repent the Obstructions of Karma in order."

前面所說的懺法,就只是初階的懺悔而已。「略」就是簡單的那樣來懺悔,其實意思就是說才初階的懺悔而已,初階的懺悔這樣才結束而已。

This is the beginning. A brief repentance is quick and just the first step toward repentance. We have only completed the first level. "Now we repent the Obstruction of Karma." First we repented the Obstruction of Afflictions.

上面是懺悔煩惱障——每天都是煩惱纏心,讓煩惱纏縛我們的心。上面的那些法都讓你們知道了,這都是煩惱來障礙我們。

Every day we allow afflictions to bind our minds. The previous teachings explain that these afflictions were obstructing us. We know this now, but we still must continue to repent.

我們已經知道了,但是下面我們又要再來懺悔。「今當次第懺悔業障」,所懺悔的是「業」,業就是已做了,已做的業要如何來懺悔呢?我們就要虔誠來回饋,所以說:「我甘願還」;那我們要真誠,這也是一種的懺悔。那未來呢?未來更要戒慎懺悔。

Next we repent karma. Karma is the things we have done. How do we repent things that have been done? We must sincerely give back we must willingly pay our debts. This is also a form of repentance. We must be sincere. What about the future? We must be more vigilant and repentant.

那過去的既然知道,就是這樣的因結下了,現在的果一定要受,要懺悔;那未來,對人對事對物就更要又再虔誠。我們若真正很謹慎虔誠,事事要以懺悔的心;遇到人,無論現在對我們好或壞,我們都要以虔誠的心相對待;做事,我們不要在事物中,起貪瞋癡,我們要時時很戒慎。

Since we know that we sowed these seeds in the past, we must now bear the retribution and repent. We must be more sincere in the future. If we treat people and matters cautiously and sincerely, we will do everything with a repentant heart. Whether people treat us well or poorly, we must treat them with sincerity. When we are dealing with things, we should not give rise to greed, anger or ignorance. We must always be prudent.

所以我們要以真誠戒慎懺悔的心,來對待這個業。無論是已成的業,或者是未造的業,我們現在都是要真誠戒慎懺悔。

So we must have a sincere, cautious, and repentant mind when we face our karma. Whether karma has been created or not, we must be sincere, cautious and repentant. It is like pure water cleansing away filth.

就如同淨水洗滌垢穢,我們一件衣服若弄髒了,有整塊髒污的地方我們要洗,那沒有弄髒的地方你是不是要洗?整件衣服都要丟下去洗。所以,無論是已污染的,或者是沒污染的,我們還是一樣要以清水洗滌,讓它徹底清淨。就像似我們在擦拭鏡子一樣,鏡子若是有沾上污點,我們在擦的時候,是整面都要擦,不是說我只有沾到這一點,只擦這個點。

If we stain a shirt, we must remove the stain. Can we avoid washing the clean part? No, we have to wash the entire shirt. So whether it has been defiled or not, we must still wash it with pure water to make sure it is thoroughly clean. It is like polishing a mirror. If there is a dirty spot, we have to polish the entire mirror, not just the bit that is dirty.

所以就是要懺過去,要謹慎於未來,這全都是「以法水淨心」。

So we must repent the past and be vigilant towards the future. This is how Dharma-water cleanses the mind.

所以我們要擦淨我們的心鏡,讓我們的心鏡朗然;好像似這個旭日陽光剛剛升起,讓我們照亮心靈的境界。

So we must polish our minds mirror until it is clear and bright. Then, like the rising morning sun it will illuminate our minds.

夫業者
能莊飾世趣
在在處處

Karma can glamorize worldly attractions at all times and places.

接下來的經文說:「夫業者,能莊飾世趣,在在處處。」這段文字的意思就是說,這個業有時候也會裝飾得很美,裝飾在這個世間。

Next we say, "Karma can glamorize worldly attractions at all times and places."

看看我們人會一直迷戀在這個世間中,那就是因為有這個業看不開,互相牽連著。你若告訴他:「世間很苦。」有的人說:「不會,我很愛在這個世間,這個世間哪有苦呢?」

This passage means that sometimes karma can be quite glamorous, manifesting beauty in the world. People are always mesmerized by this world. Because of their karma, they cannot see and become entangled. If you tell them the world is painful, some people will say, "No, I really love being in this world. There is nothing painful about it."

其實他沒有去深入道理,有的人出生就很順境,所以他覺得人生很快樂。其實即使是很順境的人,同樣他也有苦的那個業力在後面。

They do not deeply understand the truth. Some are born into nice circumstances, so they think life is full of happiness. But painful karma will follow even those people.

比如說有一些少奶奶,她從小就很好命,家庭的背景很好,人生的生活很亮麗,自己也長得很美,結婚的對象也很好,所以她覺得這個世間,沒有什麼可憂愁的,她都是在享受、很快樂。

Take some wealthy young wives, for example. They have always led a good life. They were born into good families and have lived a beautiful life. They are good-looking and married well, so they think there is nothing to worry about in the world. They live in luxury and are very happy.

最煩惱的是什麼呢?晒黑,又更加擔憂的是臉上長斑點。所以現在很多因應這些少奶奶愛美,化妝品一瓶一、二十萬,或是三、五萬,她就是追求要,如何保持青春永駐。現在醫院最熱門的,就是這些少奶奶來美容。只是幫她照一下脈衝光,聽說照下去那個黑點就不見了。

What do they worry most about? Getting tan and growing freckles. There are beauty products that cost $NT10-20,000, up to $NT30-50,000 a bottle to satisfy their needs. They seek ways to look young forever. The most popular procedures in hospitals are cosmetic. They use Intense Pulsed Light to remove freckles and spots.

現在只擔心這個,花再多錢她都不要緊,只擔憂這點而已。她不知道大自然的法則,還是要老,到老時,那些黑點黑斑一樣就會浮上來,到那時候她的煩惱會更多若再加上頭髮會慢慢花白了,她就要去染;身體慢慢衰退,本來亭亭玉立的身體,慢慢就會駝背了。這還只是在她的身上看得到的。這樣有快樂嗎?

They only worry about beauty; they do not care how much it costs. This is their only worry. They do not know that per the law of nature, they will age. Then the freckles and dark spots will reemerge. Then their afflictions will increase. As they grow older, their hair whitens. So they dye it. The body will slowly deteriorate. Their slim body slowly hunch over. Will they be happy?

再說到她最愛的人,是不是永遠都那麼樣英俊,那麼帥氣?事業真的都做得那麼好嗎?很難說。人生的變動它那個潛在的危機,潛在的苦難因素,她不覺而不知。所以,受這種假相的莊飾,那真的她一直一直迷戀在這個世間。

Will the man they love always remain handsome and striking? Will their business always be so successful? Hard to say. Life's changes are hidden dangers. They are unaware of the hidden seeds of suffering. So they continue to be mesmerized by all the false attractions in this world.

我們大家都知道,釋迦牟尼佛未出家之前,太子的時代,父王為了讓他的心,能夠留戀在這個江山國土,所以就建三時殿,讓他感受不到冷熱的辛苦,還讓很多美女那樣日夜作樂。但是也要有休息的時候;有一天晚上他醒了,看到很多的宮延美女那樣在睡覺,睡著了的形態實在很醜。

We know that before Sakyamuni Buddha left home. He was a crown prince. When His father, the king, wanted to entice Him to remain in the kingdom, he built three seasonal royal mansions so. Sakyamuni would not suffer from heat or cold. Many beauties entertained Him day and night, but they still had to rest. One night He woke up and saw the beautiful women sleeping. Their positions were truly unsightly.

我們可知道,大家在睡的形態是如何呢?我們有四威儀——臥如弓。但是沒有受過這種訓練的人,睡著了是什麼型態都有。

Do we know everyone's sleeping position? We have learned to sleep like a bow. But people who do not receive this training sleep in many different positions.

那樣半夜醒來時,看到這些白天打扮得,那麼豔麗的美女,夜晚一睡著什麼形態都有,披頭散髮。那沒有經過化妝,或者是化妝後沒有洗掉,那樣黑白都完全不分明,異位掉了。

In the middle of the night, Hw saw that these women, who were made up so beautifully during the day, were in all positions at night. Their hair was disheveled and they had no or partially washed-off makeup. All the colors were smeared or were missing in random places.

所以他看到了,人生美在哪裡呢?只不過是一種的假相裝飾!所以他對這種人生世間,光是在那些人的形態,他就會覺悟了。所以離開皇宮的念頭更強,所以他下定決心離開皇宮。

So He wondered, "Where is the beauty in life? It is just a false attraction." So these people's forms led Him to this realization. This strengthened His desire to leave the palace.

這就是有智慧的人,不受著這個世間莊飾的假相所迷。其實這種莊飾的假相在這個世間,在那個世處就是世間,「在在處處」,這種的業都是牽引著我們。

This is a person with wisdom, not deluded by the false attractions of the world. Truly, these false attractions can be seen everywhere in the world. "At all times and in all places", karma is leading us.

業就是一種「縛」;纏縛的意思,這叫做「業」。我們若受到這種假相莊飾的世間迷惑,就會受到業力纏縛住我們。

Karma is a type of bond; it is something that binds us. We are bound by the glamour of karma and worldly attractions.

所以世間的業,有——「有漏業」和「出世無漏業」。這個有漏業就是各種的煩惱,叫做「有漏業」。有的人知道了,開始要修行,想要「修無漏業」,但是他也會受執著所牽引,還是會有煩惱。

There are two types of karma in the world, Flawed Karma and World-transcending Flawless Karma. Flawed Karma includes all types of affliction. Some people know this, so they begin to cultivate Flawless Karma. But sometimes they are pulled by attachments, and they still have afflictions.

有的修行者太貪著,也會走火入魔,這個業的牽扯真的也是很辛苦。

Some practitioners are too greedy, so they lose their minds. It is painful to be led by karma.

我們現在就只說在凡夫的這個業。六凡的凡夫,就是六道的凡夫,在世趣、六趣當中的凡夫,就是受到業不斷牽纏、纏縛著,所以在世間很辛苦。

We are just talking about ordinary people's karma, the beings who live an unenlightened existence, the beings of the Six Realms or the Six Destinies. They are bound by karma, so life is very difficult.

各位,若是不覺悟,業力還是永遠在牽引我們。無論是凡夫六趣的業力,來把我們牽引著,即使想要修行,方向若有一點偏差, 還是一樣受執著的業,把我們所牽引束縛著,很辛苦。

Everyone, if we do not become enlightened, we will forever be led by the karma of ordinary people in the Six Destinies. Even if we want to practice, if we deviate even slightly in our direction, we will be bound and led by karma of attachments. That is painful.

所以下面接下來,就是要懺悔業障。不過,各位,一切唯心造,請大家要時時多用心。

So next we must repent the Obstruction of Karma. Everyone, remember that everything is created by the mind. So please always be mindful.

The Noble Path is bright as the day. I vow to take refuge and pay respect to all Buddhas.



We have talked about how we must maintain reverence in our hearts. Life is like a dream, an illusion. What is actually real? What is unreal? The most important thing is to recognize the truth in the illusion and the illusion in reality.



We must clearly recognize this. Even though changes in life are unavoidable, our pure Buddha-nature is eternal and unmoving. We must thoroughly understand this. So “the Noble Path is bright as the day.” The Noble Path is always so bright.

Since we know that we obstruct ourselves and block all Good Dharma, we know we need to use the Buddha’s teachings as Dharma-water to cleanse our minds. We must completely eliminate the defilements and obstacles in our minds. We must “take refuge and pay respect to Buddhas.”



We must also vow to bring ourselves closer to the Buddha, and pay respect to all Buddhas. Whether people treat us well or poorly, we must treat them with sincerity. When we are dealing with things we should not give rise to greed, anger or ignorance. We must always be prudent. So we must have a sincere, cautious, and repentant mind when we face our karma. Whether karma has been created or not, we must be sincere, cautious and repentant. It is like pure water cleansing away filth. If we stain a shirt, we must remove the stain. Can we avoid washing the clean part? No, we have to wash the entire shirt.



So, whether it has been defiled or not, we must still wash it with pure water to make sure it is thoroughly clean. It is like polishing a mirror. If there is a dirty spot, we have to polish the entire mirror, not just the bit that is dirty. So we must repent the past and be vigilant towards the future. This is how Dharma-water cleanses the mind. So we must polish our mind’s mirror until it is clear and bright. Then, like the rising morning sun it will illuminate our minds.



Next we say, “Karma can glamorize worldly attractions at all times and places.”



This passage means that sometimes karma can be quite glamorous, manifesting beauty in the world. People are always mesmerized by this world. Because of their karma, they cannot see and become entangled. If you tell them the world is painful, some people will say, “No, I really love being in this world.” “There is nothing painful about it.” They do not deeply understand the truth. Some are born into nice circumstances, so they think life is full of happiness. But painful karma will follow even those people.



Take some wealthy young wives, for example. They have always led a good life. They were born into good families and have lived a beautiful life. They are good-looking and married well, so they think there is nothing to worry about in the world. They live in luxury and are very happy. What do they worry most about? Getting tan and growing freckles. There are beauty products that cost $NT 10-20,000, up to $NT30-50,000 a bottle to satisfy their needs. They seek ways to look young forever. The most popular procedures in hospitals are cosmetic. They use intense Pulsed Light to remove freckles and spots. They only worry about beauty; they do not care how must it costs. This is their only worry.



They do not know that per the law of nature, they will age. Then the freckles and dark spots will reemerge. Then their afflictions will increase. As they grow older, their hair whitens. So they dye it. The body will slowly deteriorate. Their slim body slowly hunch over. Will they be happy? Will the man they love always remain handsome and striking? Will their business always be so successful? Hard to say.



Life’s changes are hidden dangers. They are unaware of the hidden seeds of suffering. So they continue to be mesmerized by all the false attractions in this world. We know that before Sakyamuni Buddha left home, He was a crown prince. When His father, the kind, wanted to entire Him remain in the kingdom, he built three seasonal royal mansions so Sakyamuni would not suffer heat or cold. Many beauties entertained Him day and night, but they still had to rest.



One night He woke up and saw the beautiful women sleeping. Their positions were truly unsightly. Do we know everyone’s sleeping position? We have learned to sleep like a bow. But people who do not receive this training sleep in many different positions. In the middle of the night, He saw that these women. Who were made up so beautifully during the day, were in all positions at night. Their hair was disheveled and they had no or partially washed-off makeup. All the colors were smeared or were missing in random places. So He wondered, “Where is the beauty in life? it is just a false attraction.” So these people forms led Him to this realization. This strengthened His desire to leave the palace. This is a person with wisdom, not deluded by the false attractions of the world.



Truly, these false attractions can be seen everywhere in the world. “At all times and in all places, karma is leading us. Karma is a type of bond; it is something that binds us. We are bound by the glamour of karma and worldly attractions. There are two types of karma in the world, Flawed Karma and World-transcending Flawless Karma. Flawed Karma includes all types of affliction. Some people know this, so they begin to cultivate Flawless Karma. But sometimes they are pulled be attachments, and they still have afflictions. Some practitioners are too greedy, so they lose their minds. It is painful to be led by karma.



We are just talking about ordinary people’s karma, the beings who live an unenlightened existence, the beings of the six Realms or the Six Destinies. They are bound by karma, so life is very difficult.



Everyone, if we do not become enlightened, we will forever be led by the karma of ordinary people in the Six Destinies. Even if we want to practice, if we deviate even slightly in our direction, we will bound and led by karma of attachments. That is painful.



So next we must repent the Obstruction of Karma. Everyone remember that everything is created by the mind. So please always be mindful.

無漏聖道

朗然如日

發願已

皈命禮諸佛

我們昨天說過,平時我們要以很虔誠的心,人生如夢如幻,到底人生什麼是真?什麼是假?最重要的要認清楚,假中有真、真中有假。

只要我們能清楚認識,人人雖然在生活中,難免無常變遷,但是有永恆不動清淨佛性,這點我們應該要很了解。所以「聖道朗然如日」,聖道還是那麼光明。

聖道在哪裡?就是在我們人人的本性中,所以原來都是那麼明朗清淨,就是我們凡夫好像在做夢,或是陰霾,使我們看不到前面的境界,所以我們了解了,了解之後,我們要發出更虔誠的心,所以我們要「虔誠信敬諸佛菩薩」。

諸佛菩薩來人間,無不都是要為我們,指出一條正確道路,幫助我們如何撥開我們的無明;所以我們現在既然知道了,我們要「虔誠信敬諸佛菩薩」。

「聖眾正法諦理無偏」,凡是諸佛菩薩,所有聖眾的正法,道理絕對是真的,絕對沒有偏差。人生道路最怕的就是,「差毫釐失於千里」。既然聖道是正法的諦理,向我們保證絕對是沒有偏差,沒有偏差的道理,我們要去哪裡找呢?我們要以佛心,我們要常常顧好我們的心。

我們既然要接近佛,其實佛的心在我們的本性中,所以我們要自己時時提起,「以佛心待人人即佛」,這樣最接近佛,也是體認我們本性之佛。

也是能相信人人有佛性,我們也是最接近佛,所以「以最虔誠的心對人事物」,自然「人事物理何患不圓」?本來人圓、事圓、道理就圓,我們就能夠在這個大圓境界、世間萬物朗然明朗。

只是我們這個心靈,這個大圓的鏡智被無明遮蔽。這些無明都不離人、事、物理,所以我們若要,讓我們的大圓鏡智現前,就是要做人要圓,做事才會圓。

人圓、事圓、理圓?意思就是待人要很清楚,以道理來對待人,就是人圓;做事不離開道理,自然一切事物理,我們都能很清楚,沒有偏差,這些道理我們若能了解。

我們平時都認為佛理很深,其實沒有離開我們的日常生活。以佛心待人,人即是佛,以虔誠心對人事物,人事物理何患不圓呢?怎會不圓呢?所以我們人生要追求的,就是追求一個圓滿的道理,所以大家要用心。

虔誠信敬諸佛菩薩

聖眾正法諦理無偏
以佛心待人人即佛


以虔誠心對人事物

人事物理何患不圓

夫業者 能莊飾世趣 在在處處

之前我們說過的,就是障煩惱,有很多事,我們都是因為煩惱障礙。所以我們既然知自障,障了一切的善法,我們知道了,將佛陀的教法,以法水來洗滌我們的心,把我們心的污垢、障礙。

我們就「歸命禮諸佛」。發願我們要更接近佛,要禮敬諸佛。所以你們每天早上的早課,就是每天都要提醒自己,我們要虔誠禮敬諸佛。

禮諸佛已

次復懺悔

每天在禮佛,每天在聽經,知道很多的煩惱都是自己的障礙,這樣是否都清淨了呢?諸位,聽法還是聽法,每天度日還是猶然故我,還是一樣,煩惱到底完全懺除了嗎?

我們現在再來看下面的文字:

弟子眾等略懺煩惱障竟

今當次第懺悔業障

就是初,「略」就是簡單的懺悔,其實意思是才初階的懺悔而已,初階的懺悔才結束而已。「今當次第懺悔業障」,上面是懺悔煩惱障,每天都是煩惱纏心,讓煩惱纏縛我們的心。

上面的法都讓你們知道了,這都是煩惱來障礙我們。我們已經知道了,但是下面我們要再懺悔。所懺悔的是「業」,業就是已做了,已造的業要如何懺悔呢?我們就要虔誠來回饋,所以說我甘願還,這也是一種懺悔。

我們要真誠,未來呢?未來更要戒慎懺悔,過去的既然知道,是這樣的因結下了,現在的果一定要受,要懺悔;未來就要更虔誠,對人 、對事、對物,我們若很謹慎虔誠,事事要以懺悔的心;遇到人現在對我們好或壞,我們都要以虔誠的心相對待;做事,我們不要在事物中,起貪、瞋、癡,我們要時時很戒慎。

所以我們要以,真誠戒慎懺悔的心,來對待業。無論是已成的業,或者是未造的業,我們現在都要真誠戒慎懺悔。

如同淨水洗滌垢穢,我們一件衣服弄髒了,有整塊髒污我們要洗,那沒有弄髒的地方你是不是要洗?整件衣服都要丟下去洗。所以,無論是已污染的,或者是沒污染的,我們還是同樣要以清水洗滌,讓它徹底清淨。就像我們在擦拭鏡子一樣,鏡子若是沾上污點,我們在擦的時候,都是整面要擦,不是我只有弄髒這個點,只擦這個點。

所以就是要懺過去,要謹慎於未來,這都是法水淨心。所以我們要擦淨我們的心鏡,讓我們的心鏡朗然;好像旭日陽光剛剛升起,明亮我們心靈的境界。

我們再說:

夫業者

能莊飾世趣

在在處處

這段文字的意思就是說,業有時候也會裝飾得很美,裝飾在世間。看看我們人,會一直迷戀在世間中,就是因為有這個業看不開,互相牽連。你若告訴他世間很苦。有的人說:「不會,我很愛在這個世間,這個世間哪有苦呢?」

其實他沒有深入道理,有的人出生就很順境,所以他覺得人生很快樂。其實儘管是很順境的人,同樣他也有苦的業力在後面。

比如有一些少奶奶,她從小就很好命,家庭的背景很好,人生的生活很亮麗,自己也長得很美,結婚對象也很好,所以她覺得這個世間,沒有什麼可憂愁,她都在享受、很快樂。

最憂愁的是什麼呢?曬黑,更擔憂的是臉上長斑點。所以,現在很多因應這些少奶奶愛美,化妝品一瓶一、二十萬,三、五萬,她就是追求如何保持青春永駐。現在醫院最熱門的,就是這些少奶奶來美容。只是幫她照一下(脈衝光),聽說照下去黑點就不見了。

現在只擔心這個,花再多錢她都不要緊,只擔憂這點而已。她不知道大自然的法則,還是要老,老來時,那些黑點黑斑一樣會浮上來,到那時候她的煩惱會更多,這只是在她的身上,頭髮會慢慢花白了,她就要去染;身體慢慢衰退,本來亭亭玉立的身體,慢慢就會駝背了。這樣有快樂嗎?

她最愛的人,是不是永遠都那麼英俊,那麼帥氣?事業真的都做得那麼好嗎?很難說。人生的變動潛在的危機,潛在的苦難因素,她不覺而不知。所以,受這種假相的莊飾,她真的一直一直迷戀在世間。

大家都知道,釋迦牟尼佛未出家之前,太子的時代,父王為了讓他的心,能留戀在江山國土,所以就建三時殿,讓他感受不到冷熱的辛苦,還讓很多美女日夜作樂。

但是也要有休息的時候,有一天晚上他醒了,看到很多宮延美女在睡覺,睡著了的形態實在很醜。

我們可知道,大家在睡的形態如何呢?我們有四威儀,臥如弓。但是沒有受過這種訓練的人,睡著了是什麼型態都有。

半夜醒來時,看到這些白天打扮得,那麼豔麗的美女,夜晚一睡著什麼形態都有,披頭散髮。沒有經過化妝,或是化妝後沒有洗掉,黑白完全不分明,異位掉了。

所以他看到了,人生美在哪裡呢?只不過是一種的假相裝飾!所以他對這種人生世間,光是那些人的形態,他就覺悟了。所以離開皇宮的念頭更強,所以他下定決心離開皇宮。

這就是有智慧的人,不受世間莊飾的假相所迷。其實這種莊飾的假相在世間,在世處就是世間,「在在處處」,這種的業都是牽引著我們。

業就是一種「縛」;纏縛的意思,這叫做業。我們若受到這種,假相莊飾世間的業力所纏縛,所以世間的業,有「有漏業」和「出世無漏業」。有漏業就是各種煩惱,叫做有漏業。有的人知道了,開始要修行,修無漏業,但是也會受執著所牽引,還是會有煩惱。

有的修行者太貪著,也會走火入魔,業的牽扯真的也是很辛苦。

我們現在就只說凡夫的業。六凡的凡夫,就是六道的凡夫,在世趣、六趣的凡夫,就是業不斷牽纏、纏縛著,所以在世間很辛苦。

各位,若不覺悟,還是永遠在,無論是凡夫六趣的業力,牽引著我們,即使想要修行,方向若有一點偏差,還是一樣受執著的業,所牽引束縛,很辛苦。

所以下面接下來,就是要懺悔業障。

不過,各位,一切唯心造,請大家要時時多用心。
